Glocalization = a combination of local and global…the individual, group, organization, and community which is willing and is able to “think globally and act locally.” The term has been used to show the human capacity to bridge scales (from local to global) and to help overcome ”little-box” thinking.
What an amazing “global village” we live in. Travel and communications have revolutionized our world. What use to seem so far away and unattached is now right in front of us and affects each of us. The reality of this global living causes various responses from anxiety to denial to celebration. At times it can be unsettling. But wow; what an opportunity to enrich our lives and share in this global experience. We are becoming aware of how what we do, drive, consume and think affects everyone everywhere. Amazing!
